Cain, Tin Man
So I was randomly tapping keys and this came out. It's certainly isn't finished or doesn't really make a whole mess of sense necessarily, but I had the image of a guy in a big fluffy coat shooting some horribly thing in a snow storm with a giant old revolver.

If anyone reads it and has any thought please let me know what you think.
Thanks
-Alan

The initiator. Whoever asked the other person out.
I'd say the guy, but that just shows my old fashioned up brining, and in the case of two men or two women dating it doesn't really apply. So therefore I figure who ever asks the other person out pays for the date.

Who pays on a first date?

First Band Album would be "Kit Baxter, Behave Yourself"

First solo Album is :Two Lifetimes Of Hurt" (And yes, the solo project would be country released as Aesop Jack.)
And the first single would be "A Double-shot Of Desperation"
Followed by "Howlin' At Yesterday's Moon"

What's the origin of your username? If you could change it to anything else, would you, and what would it be?

The origin of my username is the working title for a collection of short stories I was working on some time ago.

If I could change it to anything else it would be "Aesop Jack" That's as a result of being called Jack for years growing up, yes, even by folks who knew my real name. Coupled with my love of stories and the library of them I have in my head. I got told once that I have more stories that Aesop and it popped into my head and stuck there.

Thanks to a throw away line in [info]dj_rocca 's live journal in a post with some rather awesomezord Scooby Doo icons, (seriously, check them out!) I discovered that Scooby Doo and the curse of the Lake Monster is out, and I think has been for a little while.

Now if you'll excuse me I am going to stare at my download bar and try to will it go faster!

If it is half as good as Mystry Begins I will watch it tonight then again in the morning too.

How would you spend a whole day free from the Internet, TV, and mobile access? Do you think you'd find it challenging?

The idea of a digital sabbatical is a hard one, given how interconnected we are these days. I routinely leave my laptop in the office, but given that my phone has internet, twitter etc and I do about 40% of my internet consumption on it. Once a month to a fortnight I unplug my router and turn my phone off, It's odd at first but it helps to recharge MY batteries.

I spend a day getting all those nagging little chores done: Changing the oil in my car, going through my wardrobe separating clothes I don't wear anymore to go to the Salvos and other things like that.

I also play a lot of guitar and take my dog on long walks. It's a really pleasant way to spend a day actually. It helps you reconnect with yourself and those around you.

It's important to just take some time to be every once in a while.

And since I've rambled incoherently for a while, here is an interesting video on the subject I came across a month or so ago. Scott Stratten at TEDX

The above title is kind of true. I'm in dire need of sleep after the quartet of brain sucking activites I've got going on.

1) New job in the video conference department of the Uni I work for. Gooing really well and I'm learning heaps bit it burns ou my brain learning all these peoples names, portfolios, positions and how they all fit into the hirachy. I've never been one for the political dance but I'm trying to pay attention. Then there Is all the new systems o need to learn.

2) Supernatural. I have been staying up way to late each night chewing through this show and it is so very awesome. I am enjoying it a whole lot, but it has lead to grumbly, slow movingness in the morning. Still worth it though.

3) Alan Wake, first game in a looong time I've really gotten into, but it the latest offering from the people that made Max Payne, which I also loved. This one isbmpre survival horror / mind bender than noir opera, but damn.

4) I caught myself on my lunch break furiously scribbling down notes... Maybe I've for some more stories to tell. Judging by the notes they are a bit of a change of subject.

And also, what the hell spontaneous geek wear purchases. I ordered a hat and a couple of fandom t-shirts. Not something I ever thought I would do. Just saw them and liked them, so thy was that. (blaming a certain long eared aeronaut for that mess & maybe some responsability for some of the others too. XD )

need sleep now, half awake lj on iPhone I really hard on the typing.

Hope yor are all having awesome days as you're all awesome folks, so you should.

Now If you'll excuse me I need to see a magic cat about a car...
